We Need To Do Things Differently
In these times of chaos, disruption and polarization, the old rules and the status quo are broken, and new ways of doing things are everywhere - many of them contributing to increased polarization and escalated conflict.
The World Economic Forum 2025 Global Risks report identified Misinformation and Disinformation as the #1 risk facing humanity over the next 2 years.
They identify societal polarization as the #4 risk.
These things go directly together and are the greatest risks facing humanity.
Clearly, we need to do things differently if we are going to address those risks. Coming together in community increases our creativity, insights and the support we can provide to each other to tackle this complex, challenging issue.
Why Now?
In April 2025, Steph Roy McCallum brought together colleagues, clients, and peers for a bold conversation: How do we respond to the rise of misinformation and disinformation in our work and our world?
The gathering grew from Steph’s own experience, hearing the same question from leaders, clients, and training participants, and feeling the limits of traditional tools in a time of chaos, disruption, and polarisation.Â
Rather than retreat, she invited others to brainstorm how we might disrupt the disruptors - through story, connection, courage, and creativity.
That spark has grown into a new community space where we keep the conversation going, together.
